TALLIA STORM SINGS FOR A CELEB PACKED FRONT ROW AT THE UNVEILING OF
BUMNI KOKO’S SPRING/SUMMER 2012 COLLECTION AT LONDON FASHION WEEK

UK- 20th September 2011- Returning
from New York Fashion Week after rave reviews, the emerging luxury fashion and
lifestyle brand Bunmi Koko unveiled their new Spring/Summer 2012
collection at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout last night which also featured young
talent Tallia Storm who captivated the audience with a specially commissioned
track sung live on the catwalk.
Tallia performed to a celeb packed front row and
standing ovation as Bunmi Koko revealed her new collection to famous faces
which included BEVERLEY KNIGHT, KEISHA BUCHANAN of the Sugababes, MTV’s LAURA WHITMORE, ALI BASTIAN, US SINGER ESMEE DENTERS and stars from the hit television shows MADE IN CHELSEA and DIRTY PRETTY THINGS.
The show was opened
by Tallia who sang an exclusive track which was composed for the event. She remained
onstage for the 15 minute catwalk presentation where Bunmi Koko delighted
guests with her ‘ALLURE OF THE SIRENS’
collection which was inspired by the alluring and capricious nature of the
ocean and featured beautiful patterns and textures reminiscent of
sea creatures as well as coral reefs. The collection stays true to Bunmi Koko’s
dynamic use of colour and featured signature 3d pleats combined with roping and
knotting techniques of sailing to form accents of accessories in necklaces and
belts. It was a truly unique and stunning collection which was added to by a
breathtaking performance by the young Tallia.
Editors and celebs from
around the globe were left in awe of this little lady with the big voice.
Beverley Knight said, “I
was gob-smacked. It was a privilege and an honour to be sitting in the same
room and to bear witness to such an incredible talent”
MTV’s Laura Whitmore was
also full of praise for the young Scottish talent as she was overheard saying.. “
Tallia was phenomenal. I can’t quite believe that such a big voice comes out
such a little person. She was just fantastic”
Bunmi Olaye first met Tallia
Storm earlier in the year when the both attended the Scottish Fashion Awards.
On first meeting her she could not believe that she was only 12 as she has
this incredible soulful signature voice. Having decided to collaborate during
London Fashion week together they teamed up with her producer Sascha who wrote
a magnificent track which built up towards a central theme which delivered an
undeniable 21st century sound that was astounding to everyone
who was present at the show.
Having had to turn down
the honour of been asked to perform at New York Fashion Week, where Tallia
would have appeared alongside singing sensation Leona Lewis going to London was
a dream come true.
Tallia said, “I
couldn’t take four days off school to go to New York but when I was asked to
perform for the show at London Fashion Week I was over the moon. The whole day
I was buzzing with excitement. When I stepped on stage I was slightly nervous
but the moment I started singing they disappeared and I loved every second of
it. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity”
