The Welcome Collection - Identitiy

Key Words & Questions I Raised From Exhibition:

Mirror Image

Sex? Is Sex Male Or Female?

How can one look at themselves differently?

What is considered as being 'different' now?

Memories

Is a blog now an everyday thing?

Is recording a diary now considered as 'uncool'?

Do we use social networking as if it was a journal?

How are things different to what was relevent in the past to what would be relevent in a diary today? Would it seem that a person would go through a tougher life now then those that were living through the war? What issues would be brought up? Credit Crunch? Religion? Medical Difficulties? Terrorists?

Awareness

Public Profiles......Would being in the public change a life in a huge way? In an significant way?

Are diaries that were written many years ago expressing real feelings? Would that be the case now? Would we still hold back from writing true feelings in a diary?

Are scrap books a better way of viewing emotions and interests from people?

Will video diaries be the new thing of the future? Would people catch on to this for personal use? And how many people are doing it allready (On You Tube ext).

How do we map our minds?

I LOVE Tea & Cake!

I Love Tea and Cake! Especially when I'm with a good mate for a gossip, or have got a bit of time to kill before doing something. I loved finding this email about the best British tearooms. Maybe I will get a chance to visit one soon.

Maybe we should make tea parties cool again!

Show Studio - Fashion Revolution

I loved the Show Studio Fashion Exhibition! It was full of bold images, interactive technology, videos, sound, colour, textures and work to get involved with! I especially loved the fact that you could see special photographers taking fashion shoots through a window.....It really showed the ways in which fashion has evolved into the future.

Catwalk Shows Of The Future

Catwalk shows are fabulous! However after seeing so many different collections time and time again one might wonder how a catwalk show can be vamped up?

You have the designer's like Alexander McQueen who enable computer technological devices into his shows but what is the next best thing?

The answer is Burberry! Who are going to broadcast its upcoming Autumn / Winter Collection in 3D

I Like To Be 'Different'

I would love to dress outrageously or wear a wicked dress with some killer heels on a normal day to work, but lets face it, how many 'real women' actually dress like they are going to be shot for Vogue everyday? I try to dress a bit individual and unique, but most of the time I just feel comfortable doing what I do best; jersey layering, floral prints, and leggings with a waist belt and cardigan.

However, these shoes did catch my eye at work and I had to purchase for the fun factor. I have no idea what I am going to wear them with but I needed to have them in my wardrobe!

What Makes A Good Fashion Blog?

As a Fashion Futures Blogger, I will blog about all kinds of different things to do with not only Fashion, but Technology, Lifestyle, Food, People and other things that I find kool and interesting.....

As much as I love hearing about Westwood and Paris Fashion Week, I much prefer to hear about street trends, the new little 'Kool slang' words that have hit the estates, why its suddenly great to sniff alcohol rather then drink it ext....

For me, a good fashion blog would be about whats happening outside your front door rather then whats happening half way around the world.....and even though I do find high end designers and luxury goods exiting.....I prefer to hear about new cults / hubs / trends that are underground and developing....

Don't get me wrong though....I do LOVE trend hunting websites (even though they are aimed @ the more trendier places in London like Brick Lane or Soho......Maybe I should start trend hunting in places like Lewisham or Peckham!
